Overview

The BBox Webtool is a powerful online tool for creating, manipulating, and exporting geographical shapes and bounding boxes on a map. This tool integrates several functionalities to assist with coordinate management, map interactions, and style customizations, offering a user-friendly interface for GIS-related tasks.

Main Features

How to Use the Tool

  1. Navigating the Map: Pan and zoom to explore the map.
  2. Drawing Shapes: Use the menu on the left of the map to start drawing shapes.
  3. Managing Coordinates: You can click on shapes you've drawn to display and copy their coordinates and bounding-box. When the map is clicked and there are shapes on the map, then the overall-bounding-box coords are displayed and can be copied.
  4. Style Customization: Adjust color and opacity of shapes when you have seleted one by clicking on it. You will recognise the selected shape by it's red border.
  5. Copying and Exporting Data Via URL: When a shape is selected or the overall-bounding-box has been drawn, then the bounding-box-coordinates will be visible in the URL and for example be sent to a friend
  6. Using the History: View and manage your action history.
  7. Using the "Insert Shape via coords" button Over this pop-up you can insert shapes using different crs and coord-formats. Just paste them in and click submit then they will be drawn
